Skiff and Drift Boat Rentals
If you are interested in self-guided adventures on the saltwater or drifting our local rivers for fishing, sightseeing, or other outings, we can make those arrangements for you. Rental fee for skiff is $500 per day plus tax (three available — two covered skiffs that hold up to 4 and one open surf skiff that holds up to 5.
Drift boat is $250 per day plus tax. If transportation is needed to stage the drift boat at your put-in and take-out locations, we can also coordinate those details. Usual fee for staging at the river is $125 which includes transportation to put in and take out.
Inflatable Pontoon Boat Rental
We have Wilderness Fishing Pontoon Boats available for rent by the day. The boats are 9 feet long and can be used on the river for fishing or sightseeing. Rental fee is $70 per day plus tax, per boat (4 available). Boats are lightweight and can be transported without the use of a trailer, in a truck bed, or other larger vehicle.
Fishing Licenses and Information
Alaska Department of Fish and Game: You cannot hunt, fish, or trap in Alaska without a valid license in your possession. You can get yours online before heading to Yakutat by going here: www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/license/
Halibut Regulations: The National Marine Fisheries Service set the halibut bag limit at 2 / person daily, with one any size and one max of 28 inches.*
* YCBC will participate in the Guided Angler Fish (GAF) program and can offer clients the opportunity to harvest up to two halibut of any size per day for an additional fee. If you are interested in participating in the GAF program, please let us know and we can share more information with you.
